Privacy Policy

1. Who this applies to

• Purohits who create an account, manage requests, and share a customer form link
• Customers who submit ceremony / muhurtam requests through a purohit's public form

2. Information we collect

Account information (purohits)

• Name and email address (via Google sign-in)
• Optional profile details such as city, WhatsApp number, and avatar
• Form slug / public form link associated with your account

Customer request information

• Names, nakshatra, gender, phone number
• Ritual type, preferred date range, timing preference, notes
• Ceremony location (label, latitude/longitude, timezone) used for muhurtam timing calculations

Billing

If you subscribe to Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. We may store Stripe customer / subscription identifiers needed to manage your plan.

App & technical data

• Login session information
• Basic device / browser technical logs for security and reliability
• Optional mobile notification permission status (if you enable alerts in the iOS app)
• Optional device contacts permission (if you use "Add to Contact" in the mobile app to save a customer locally)

3. How we use information

• Provide and operate the purohit panel and customer forms
• Calculate and display muhurtam date suggestions
• Help purohits contact customers (for example via WhatsApp)
• On the mobile app, optionally save a customer name and phone to the purohit's device contacts when they tap Add to Contact (contacts stay on the device; we do not upload the address book)
• Process subscriptions and prevent abuse
• Respond to support requests and improve the Service

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information.

We share data only as needed with:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• Stripe — payment processing
• Vercel — website / API hosting
• The purohit who owns a form — customer submissions are visible to that purohit so they can serve the request

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety, rights, or integrity of the Service and our users.

5. Data retention

We retain account and request data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion as described below.

6. Account & data deletion

To delete your MuhurtamPro purohit account and associated request data, email support@purohitai.com from the same email used for Google sign-in, with the subject line "Delete MuhurtamPro account". We will process deletion requests within a reasonable time.

7. Children

The Service is intended for adults (purohits and their adult customers). It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards appropriate to our Service, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and access-controlled databases. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. International users

The Service may be hosted in the United States or other regions where our providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be processed in those locations.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
